Welcome to my blog. Get comfortable and enjoy every bit of the story.

Why won't you sit still and listen?

'Be still, Listen to me,

You can only know me if you listen.

Stop rushing out of my presence!

Learn to be still!

I know all about you because you do the most talking. Before you even speak, I already know what you want to say,

And I listen anyways.

The reason for the doubt in your heart is that you don't really know me. You think you do but you don't.

The place of knowing me happens when you sit still with me and listen.

Listen! Let me do most of the talking.

You do all the talking but you forget I formed you, so I know. I know your needs and, I already know what you will say before you come. But I listen anyway.

You're the one getting to know me but you're also the one not listening.

You don't know me because you don't listen to me.

You can only know me if you listen

Stop rushing out of my presence!

Learn to be still. Listen! Let me do most of the talking.

The place of knowing me comes when you sit with me and listen.

Don't come to prayer and just keep praying.

Sit with my word, my word. It's my word. They are my words, that's where your answer is. What you need is in it.'

This is a short prose filled with the conversation of a concerned, loving Father to His children.

When you are reading God's word, you're not just reading, you're listening to God talk to you. He talks to you through His word.

When you want to know someone, you spend so much time listening to them. From listening to someone, you can know a lot about the person - how they think, what they can do, their favorite foot, and a lot more... Most times we come into God's presence and say a lot of things without even listening, so we do all the talking. Maybe once in a while, we can say Father I'm listening. And when He doesn't respond within two to five minutes, we are out. This is God's word to you today. Be still, and Listen!
