There has to be more!

I want to share a story with you today. It's a brief one but I know you'll be happy you read it.

In 2021, I think, I had this dream. I was in a room filled with people, trying to make connections or network as we all say. Everyone seemed so busy with something and I couldn't even get an audience. This made me frustrated. No one was paying any attention to me. This dream simulated my real life back then too, I was frustrated and full of anxiety about what the future held. It was scary doing this all on my own and it was definitely hard. Back to the dream, I went across the room trying to have conversations with people but no one answered me. So, I stood all by myself in the middle of the room. Just then, there was a slight tap on my shoulder which made turn abruptly.

There was someone looking at me intensely, then he said, "You don't know what you have inside of you. You don't know who you are!" Of course, I woke up immediately, you know how these dreams are. I woke up and kept replaying the words in my head. It really didn't make any sense to me then. Because who am I? lol. But I couldn't keep the voice out of my head, it just kept ringing there. I also knew this was God talking to me and I just knew it right within me that there had to be more to me. Because the One who created me was saying that to me. And, He's still saying that right now, even at this moment. It's a knowing I will always carry with me. Now, I know God was talking about my identity in Christ and the presence of His Spirit within me.

So, if you are reading this, don't compromise. Never settle. God, your Maker says there is more to you. It's more than what you're going through right now. There's more to you than the deal that went wrong. There's more to you than the money you can't see in your account There's more to you than the lady that said No. There's more to you than the exam you didn't do well. There just has to be more! In Christ Jesus, you will never be ordinary. There will always be something more to your life. Never settle for less than what God has in store for you.
