Wow! The date has shifted. It’s really a new year. It’s really reading ‘2025! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m so happy that you are reading this right now. It shows how much of God’s grace you have enjoyed up until now. Thank you for reading my blog posts and newsletters all throughout last year. Thank you for supporting me with your kind words and sharing from time to time. I’m really grateful to have you on my side. I’m grateful that the Lord has indeed blessed you through these words. Thank you for staying on this journey with me. Really, I appreciate and love you.
I have something from God to share with you today - Guess what? …..
It’s a short charge from Genesis 1
Starting from the very beginning of all things. Of creation.
“When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was completely formless and empty, with nothing but darkness draped over the deep. God’s Spirit hovered over the face of the waters.”
Genesis 1:1-2 TPT
The HolySpirit was brooding over the dark, formless and empty earth. I’m sure you have probably read it a couple of times just like I had before now. The picture of the HolySpirit I had before was that of a very “Holy” Spirit who wanted nothing to do with darkness at all. He is light after all. He shouldn’t even be associated with anything dark, desolate or dirty.
After all, light and darkness cannot coexist in a place.
That’s all true.
But after reading this verse recently, He showed me that he loves dark places, empty vessels, desolate places, flawed places. He hovers over them like the mother hen hovers over her young wanting to shield them. It is His nature to make something out of nothing.
Because He is the Spirit of creation.
He is always itching to make something out of worthless situations which is why He was seen hovering over the face of the deep, anticipating a word from God to do something. He loves to do something. He longs to make something.
That’s why the Father sent Him to us. Not because we are perfect and holy so we deserve to have His “Holy” Spirit in us too. He was sent to us to build in us according to the Father’s template. The Father sent Him so that He can do the same work He did at creation in us too. So, let’s not hide our flaws, insecurities and mistakes from Him because He’s already hovering over them. He is waiting for our permission to make us as we yield solely to Him. He wants to work out the fruits of the righteousness we have received from God in us. He wants to help us stand firm in God’s plans and purposes for our lives. Let’s not hide from Him.
What does it really mean for the HolySpirit to be grieved?
Contrary to what people think, or let me say, to my previous premonitions. I thought it meant that the HolySpirit was not happy with me whenever I did something wrong. I was conscious not to make Him angry or withdrawn. Now, I realize it means He gets sad when He sees people live below God’s expectation for them or when there is darkness in a place. Because He longs to occupy and fill you with light completely. He wants to build and create according to the template from the Father.
This year, more than ever, I want to yield to the HolySpirit. He’s already in me, hovering at the void and hidden dark places. I really want to see what He will make of me just as He made a perfect job of creation. Now that the word has gone ahead of me, the Spirit of God is already seeing to it that the word comes to pass as I yield to Him this year.
This year, I welcome you to a journey of yieldedness to the Spirit of creation. Let’s watch out and see what He makes out of us as we yield to Him.
Can you see it already? Because I can.
Love from the propheticwriter🫶🏾🥂

I could picture the Holy Spirit at creation, brooding and hovering over the void, vast emptiness, rubbing His palms with utmost excitedness and just saying, "Hmm, I'm going to put this here and put that there and this there and that here, this above and that below. I'll make this here to look like this and that there to make them wonder why..."
The Father watching and laughing as the Holy Spirit takes His time in eternity without restraint and the Son just waiting for the words to leap out of the Father's lips concerning the desires of the Spirit. The Trinity at work at the Genesis of Creation.
Thank you, The Prophetic Writer.
I can see it 🥳, nice writeup, welldone!
