‘‘And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: '“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;’’
Luke 4:17-18 NKJV
A prophetic life is a life lived according to the design of God before the foundation of the earth, lines upon lines, precept upon precepts. An example of someone who clearly lived a prophetic life is our Lord Jesus.
From the life of Jesus, we see that He was sent to the world for a very specific purpose, and nothing was confusing about it. From our verse today, the Life Jesus lived had been aforementioned by the prophets. His assignment was to seek and save the lost. Every moment He spent on Earth was fulfilling all that had already been written of Him.
A prophetic life is lived on divine directions and instructions to follow.
Divine direction is the believer’s meat. It is readily available but most of us do not know this. It is how you discover the purpose of your life. One of my favorite scriptures was quoted by our Lord Jesus to His disciples.
He answered and said unto them because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them, it is not given.
You really can know God’s design for you. It has been given unto you to know. You have access to these truths. God does not want you to live in darkness at all. He wants you to live a life of purpose, according to His designs for you before the foundation of the earth. Lines upon lines. Precepts upon precepts.
God said in His word, to call upon Him and He will answer you and He will show you great and mighty things to come. You cannot know if you do not call. You cannot find it if you do not seek it. Seek and you shall find.
A prophetic life is a life of seeking God daily for His plans and purposes for your life. Even if you have a picture in your mind already. A truly prophetic life cannot live without the One who designed it in the first place. There would be bumps along the way. You would need strength in some seasons just like Jesus needed strength in the garden of Gethsemane. There would be strategic relationships along this path. There would be times of doubt when you need clarifications. God supplies all that. It is a life fulfilled in constant fellowship with God. It can never be lived outside God.
We can all live a prophetic life. Jesus did. And He is our template in all things. It's time to stop living in the spur of the moment. You were created for a divine purpose according to the will of God. I want to stir your heart up today to live life-fulfilling prophecies. Remember that it has been given unto you to know all that is written of you.
