     Savor

Welcome to my blog. Get comfortable and enjoy every bit of the story.

Religion is Prison

Religion is Prison. Finding God is freedom. You get burned out on religion. But with God you find rest. Don't just do things, know why you're doing what you're doing.

Ask yourself questions. Is God real? Yes, ask. Why do I go to church? Why don't I go? Find out for yourself. Don't inherit beliefs. Prove it! What I believe in, Is it truly a thing? Or am I wasting my time? Experience it. Put the word to work for you. If you don't experience it, you can't defend it to yourself. Come to know it for yourself. If not, when the test of your faith comes, you won't be able to stand for what you did not handle.

You never truly know what's in it for you until you unwrap it. If salvation is truly a gift to you from God, then unwrap it to see what's really in it. You can't seek God and not find Him. It's time to find out what you truly stand for. Asking yourself important questions can change your life. Isn't it tiring that you keep getting tossed to and fro with no sense of direction?

If God is real, you need to find out to begin this journey. It's a journey of eternity and if you don't know where to start, email me.

For the wickedness of humanity deliberately smothers the truth and keeps people from acknowledging the truth about God. In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every human heart. Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse. Throughout human history, the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for his kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like. Romans 1:18-21

You can know God and not know God. That's simply what Jesus means. It happens when you don't translate your knowledge of God into fruit-bearing actions. You can only experience God and know Him intimately when you do what He says in His word. There's no actual knowledge of God without obedience to His word.

Translate the knowledge of God you have into action.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" Matthew 7:21-23 NIV
