“But the time is coming and is already here, when by the power of God's Spirit people will worship the Father as he really is, offering him the true worship that he wants.”

‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭GNT‬‬

Are you aware that the Samaritan woman was the first person (if not only) that Jesus revealed Himself to as the Messiah? Others had an inkling, for example, Peter, who happened to know by the Spirit. Jesus never came out directly to others as the Messiah, but He revealed Himself to the Samaritan woman. To a stranger He met at the well, who dramatically ran into the village to spread the news to her village.

I don’t know if you’re just as curious as I was, thinking about what Jesus said that made that woman drop her jar and run into the city at the revelation of what Jesus said to her. I’ve replayed the scene over and again in my head, putting myself in her shoes and imagining my own reaction. I believe it was because Jesus answered the most important question in her heart. It was a question of worship. That woman had a desperate, deep longing to worship God. How do I know that?

God always reveals Himself to true worshippers.

True worship is worship led by the HolySpirit. The HolySpirit is the power of true worship. Our flesh can’t worship God and lead us into true worship. True worship is devoid of our flesh. Our flesh can’t take us there which is why in the depths of true worship, our words reduce before Him. We keep chanting a two-syllabic word that doesn’t make sense in the flesh, but that seemingly foolish word is offering true worship to God. Then, after some time, our words cease, and our spirit takes over completely, worshipping Him even without words.

Can you see why we need the HolySpirit to take us there? These are the days Jesus talked about. Our days. Where true worshippers will arise and worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is Spirit, and He seeks such to worship Him.

The Good News Translation summarizes it all: “God is Spirit, and only by the power of his Spirit can people worship him as he really is.” ‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭GNT‬‬

There’s a void in the soul of everyone that Jesus alone can fill. God put it in us so that we would forever seek Him. Same as the Samaritan woman, who had married five times, seeking to fill up the void that only worship can fill. Jesus offered her an invitation to true worship instead. He offered her a spring of water bubbling within her that would satisfy this void in her heart.

“But whoever drinks the water that I give him will never be thirsty again. But the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water [satisfying his thirst for God] welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within him] to eternal life.” John‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We now have the promise of Jesus, which is the HolySpirit who is that spring of water bubbling within us. He alone can satisfy our thirst for God, if we let Him. We can now truly worship God. We can now worship Him in spirit and in truth. At no cost, we can now worship God. We only need to come in the consciousness of our righteousness(the right to stand before Him which Jesus has paid for) in Him and yield to the HolySpirit, then true worship will burst forth from within us. Worship that is pleasing to our Father. This is an invitation to worship at no cost. The only price to pay is to “COME”

The only price to pay is to “COME”

Are you longing for more? COME

Are you tired no matter what you do? COME

Are you seeking to fill up that void in your soul? COME

Do you need God? COME

Do you need joy? COME

Do you want to be satisfied? COME

Are you struggling to be happy? COME

“The Lord says, 'Come, everyone who is thirsty— here is water! Come, you that have no money— buy grain and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk— it will cost you nothing!”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭1‬ ‭GNT

It took me this long but here I am, "There’s a void in the soul of everyone that Jesus alone can fill. God put it in us so that we would forever seek Him." The only invitation is COME! Thank you The Prophetic Writer
