Dealing with Comparison.

 ''Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it'' 1 Corinthians 12 verse 27

If every Christian would discover their individual purpose, there would be no need for envy amongst us. Everyone would take their place and shine because that is how God designed it to be.

God has never made anything without a purpose in mind. If anything exists without a so-called "use" It is because its purpose is yet to be revealed to us. Nothing exists in this world without a divine purpose. God wouldn't have told Noah to bring all the animals into the ark if they were worthless creatures. God wanted to preserve them because they were important too. Even the butterflies are important in the eyes of God. They all contribute their quota to this earth in terms of beauty, splendor, and function. They might have a thousand species, yet each species is different.

See the trees. So many. So different. The trees all take their roots from the soil, yet they grow independently, bringing forth unique fruits. They don't compete with each other because if they do, a different kind of fruit will be missing. The earth would lose out on a particular taste and nourishment. They all just bring forth their own fruits according to their kind and contribute their share to humanity.

That's how Christians should function. Just like each tree bears different fruits, each believer is unique. Everyone has a role to play. If only, like the trees we will focus on drawing from the source, we will eventually grow out and spread, shining brightly. If we understand that our roles are different, we will stop comparing ourselves to others and just focus on what God is doing in us and through us.

Comparison robs of a particular service that the earth needs.

There's no need to compare your journey with others. Stay in your lane drawing from the same God and watch for the unique giftings being expressed in you. Pray for others too especially those you find yourself envious of. That way you will bear fruits quickly.
